A C-STEM Educator Receives OCDE's 2026 Outstanding Leadership in STEM Education Award
Congratulations to Mr. Greg Miller and Orange USD
Mr. Greg Miller, C-STEM Resource Teacher at Orange USD, is the recipient of the Orange County Department of Education’s 2026 Outstanding Leadership in STEM Education Award. Presented in partnership with Inside the Outdoors Foundation, the Outstanding STEM Educator Awards celebrate educators and community leaders who are helping prepare the next generation of innovators.
Ten years ago, Mr. Miller introduced the UC Davis C-STEM program in his third-grade classroom at McPherson Magnet School and quickly saw his students become deeply engaged in mathematics through hands-on coding and robotics.
In the following years, his students’ SBAC scores increased by 37%, and what began in one classroom has grown into a districtwide initiative. Through Mr. Miller's leadership and Orange USD’s commitment to innovation, C-STEM is now empowering students across TK–12 to build essential STEM skills through coding and robotics.
