C-STEM GIRL and GIRL+ Camps*
GIRL (Girls in Robotics Leadership) and GIRL+ Camps for Next Generation of Female Makers, Innovators, and Leaders
The 1-week C-STEM GIRL Camps in the summer motivate middle school students, through peer mentoring by college and high school students, to learn leadership and STEM concepts through a fun and exciting robotics-based curriculum using Barobo Linkbot.
The 1-week C-STEM GIRL+ Camps in the summer motivate in high school students, through peer mentoring by college students, to learn leadership and STEM concepts through a fun and exciting sensor-based robotics curriculum using Barobo Linkbot and Arduino.
All GIRL and GIRL+ Camps are organized and funded by individual schools and school districts. Please contact your school or districts for GRIL and GIRL+ Camps. Camp participants are eligible for Girl’s Leadership Award. Camp participants can apply for this award and teachers can also nominate camp participants for this award.
C-STEM is a UC Approved Educational Preparation Program for Undergraduate Admission for both K-12 and Community College students to all UC campuses. Participation in these GIRL and GIRL+ camps and Girl’s Leadership Award are recognized in the UC admissions process as achievements that have explicitly prepared students for college and career. Undergraduate applicants in UC on-line application can select C-STEM as a UC Approved Educational Preparation Program to include their participation in GIRL/GIRL+ Camps.

Solano County launched the first C-STEM Girls Robotics Leadership (GIRL) Camp of 2025 at Solano Community College’s Vacaville Center, hosted by the Solano County Office of Education (SCOE)!

If you are interested in hosting a GIRL and/or GIRL+ Camp, please check out C-STEM GIRL Camp Affiliate Program and email us a completed hosting application at girlcamp@c-stem.ucdavis.edu. Using the same equipment, you may host C-STEM Afterschool and Summer Robotics Camps.
* While the purpose of the camps is to motivate girls to learn leadership and STEM concepts, all students, regardless of gender are welcome to apply.
